Title:  Program Coordinator

Reports to: Assistant Director

Supervision Given: Group Home Managers


Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining and supervising a safe, supportive environment which fosters the growth of self help skills and facilitates daily living, health maintenance, medication administration, and behavioral development.  

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Oversees multiple Residential Group Homes
  • Ensures adherence to TTC Medication Administration policies and/or procedures
  • Supports managers to ensures meals are properly prepared in accordance with established standards and adequate supply of nutritious food and supplies are available
  • Attends and participates in scheduled meetings
  • Adheres to confidentiality and privacy requirements
  • Meets and maintains requirements of federal, state, and local organizations
  • Ensures the coordination and adherance of medical care and health care needs
  • Participates in creating and implementation of behavior programs
  • Assists with selecting and hiring new employees
  • Conducts employee evaluations
  • Trains and implements fire drills as required
  • Coordinates activities
  • Oversees and maintains and reconciles funds accurately
  • Oversees and maintains budget
  • Communicates and interfaces with various groups and individuals (eg. supervisor, subordinates, nurses, physicians, consultants, neighbors, families of residents, etc.)
  • Manages individual records and ensures documentation by employees is correct and meets guidelines
  • Receives, reviews, processes, files and submits a variety of documents and reports as required
  • Adheres to the principles of The Tungland Corporation training curriculum
  • Abides by, enforces, and participates in the implementation and ongoing oversight of safety standards and regulations
  • Is available on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to assist with emergency situations
  • Oversees the assistance, monitoring, and/or training to individuals in the area of self care, self direction, independence, mobility and learning as directed by the ISP in order to enhance each individuals skill delvelopment, health, freedom and personal dignity.
  • Implements behavior management/Crisis intervention
  • Provides safety skills including but not limited to basic first aid, fire drills, handle emergency situations
  • Adheres to attendance policy  and is reliable
  • Possesses ability to evaluate and anticipate consequences calmly and professionally
  • Other duties as assigned 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Basic Senior DSP Qualifications
  • 21 years of age or older
  • HS Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to multitask, think critically, and practice basic problem solving skills
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, lift, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move intermittently. Use hands to handle or feel. Ability to turn on the knees, back, wrist, shoulders, and grasp with both hands. Ability to lift, push, pull at least 100lbs.
  • Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and move more than 10lbs
  • Ability to complete training programs and successfully pass associated tests
  • Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance and pass a background check, as required by state law
