Governor Vetoed Arizona State Budget Due to Flaws.

TO ALL OF THE ''STOP THE BLEEDING'', ''DON'T CUT US OUT'' AND ''YOU'RE NOT LISTENING'' CHAMPIONS OF ARIZONA'S DISABLED CITIZENS
 
The Governor DID listen to our voices and VETOED the  ''fatally flawed'' budget presented by the Legislators.  I believe this is a direct result from each and every letter, email, phone call, visit, sign, empty envelope, march, rally and legal action taken by all of us - as one collective voice - for, with, and on behalf of people with disabilities.  
 
We ARE champions and as such we must continue our fight.  ARIZONA STILL DOES NOT HAVE A BUDGET.  The Governor called for a special session to craft a NEW budget, one that supports both the Republicans AND Democrats AND protects health and human services.  This NEW budget work begins Monday, July 6, 2009.  Therefore, our NEW work begins NOW.
 
Please contact the Governor TODAY, and again TOMORROW...and CONTINUE each and every day until a bi-partisan budget that supports FULL restoration of programs and services for Arizona's disabled community members is signed into law.
 
Send an email, write a letter, make a phone call, visit the Governor.  Thank her for her efforts to date, encourage her to continue the fight for our most vulnerable and most valued community members, and demand nothing less than 100'/.

Let's ensure that our children, whether age 3 or 93, have full supports and services, and will never have to justify their abilities - or disabilities again.
