In these times, we understand the hardship caused by long transports to and from your our valley wide Day Programs & Vocational Programs. WE WANT TO HELP!
To help save you time and reduce the amount of money spent on gas, we have officially started the West Valley Project. Our goal is to help lighten your load while provided a valuable Day Program and/or Vocational service to the families and individuals of the Avondale, Buckeye, Tolleson & West Phoenix areas. We are now starting and ending our day at the beautiful Friendship Park located in Avondale, AZ near Dysart & McDowell Rd.
We will continue to provide each program participates with quality daytime programming with a focus on community integration and socialization. Our specially trained staff will support every individual while encouraging their participation in the development of the daily and monthly activity schedule. Some examples of our activity curriculum include: physical, cognitive, creative/dexterity, social and emotional activities that encourage growth and development to all of our day program participants.
Since the focus of our program is community integration and socialization, our program is held in the real life setting of the community. Some examples of our daily activities include: volunteering, movies, recreational activities, libraries, cooking classes, and much more. It is encouraged that all of our DTA participants and their family members assist with the creation of the activity schedules, to ensure activities will be age and ability appropriate while providing opportunities for personal growth and development.
