I couldn't end this day without a great big THANK YOU to all of you who came out and actively participated in the You're Not Listening event today!


The turnout was amazing...the House lawn came to life with banners, signs, posters, the chain of hands, cloth billboards 30' long,  personalized messages on white tees, stickers, hats,  bullhorns ear muffs and all out active participation from 250/300individuals!!!!


Our ONE voice "you're not listening, shame on you" was loud and strong and heard by all outside and inside the House, Senate and Governor's tower as  evident when the Govenor stepped out onto her balcony and acknowledged our presence.

 
Our speakers stirred up emotions- our passion ..verve/angst for our cause and message.  There was press present...AZ Republic,  public radio, channels 3,5, 12, & 15. ( I didn't catch the news tonight so if anyone saw coverage on the event - please email and share).

It was an awesome event but it's not the end. There still is no resolution.  The budget remains to be decided with less than a week left.  Bad budgets lead to bad outcomes. Anything less than 100% services and support for our disabled citizens is not acceptable. 10% is a lot more than you think.  Try typing, writing, grabbing, without your index finger.... or thumb...


Ok enough words. There's still work to be done. Urge...no demand that the Govenor veto the Legislators budget that involves cuts to services and supports  for people with disabilities. Write, call, email today...see the message and links below. 


And start planning what you will do on the eve of June 30th if there still is not a budget
