Day Treatment for Children
DTT/After School and Summer Program
Tungland Corporation's Day Treatment and Training is designed especially
for school aged children with physical and developmental challenges.
Specialty services are also implemented to serve children with behavioral
building needs as well as medical and head injury challenges. The
Tungland DTT Program is focused on providing educational and recreational
activities to enrich and enhance the development and interpersonal
growth of its participants. Emphasis is placed on appropriate community
behavior, peer socialization and street safety skill development.
DTT Programs utilize community resources such as libraries, museums,
recreational programs, city pools, youth groups and a host of others
to facilitate positive social interactions.
In addition, these programs promote self determination by giving
participants, parents, teachers and staff the opportunity to work
together to establish program direction. The Tungland Corporation
actively participates as a team member to ensure quality, individualized
programming and consistent implementation of goals and objectives.
Popular DTT activities include trips to museums, theatres,
malls, arcades and parks. Other activities include sports outings
with bowling and swimming. Site based programs include arts, crafts,
