Instruction on OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standard. Discuss occupational risk to bloodborne pathogens, routes of transmission, symptoms of HBV/HIV, exposure control plan, universal precautions, work control practices, personal protective equipment, Hepatitis B vaccine, and exposure incidents.


Timeline for Completion: Prior to working alone, or within 90 calendar days

Administration of Medications
An overview of medications, drug classifications, and common abbreviations. Includes common medications and their uses, storage and disposal of medications and agency policy.


Article 9, Rights, Confidentiality, Abuse & Neglect
Instruction in Article 9 - Managing Inappropriate Behaviors. Instruction in rights of persons with developmental disabilities. Review of laws/agency/DDD policy on confidentiality and abuse/neglect.
