of continued employment.

Assessment, Goals and Objectives
Instruction in the scoring of the Adaptive Behavior Scale; prioritizing
goals using the Program Analysis Worksheet; and writing goal statements
and behavioral objectives.
Behavior Modification/Program
Writing
An overview of behavior modification principles and teaching strategies
and their use in skill building. Instruction in methods of program
design, evaluation and implementation.
Driver Safety
Instruction and demonstration of various defensive driving techniques.
A behind the wheel test is required.
Introduction to Developmental
Disabilities/Mental Illness/Head Injury
An overview of the 4 major developmental disabilities as well as
the mental illnesses of Schizophrenia, Mood Disorders and Personality
Disorders. Instruction on causes, symptoms, characteristics and
treatments. Instruction on Head Injury; causes and characteristics.
Individual Service Plan (Process
and Principles)
Instruction in DDD/TTC policy on Individual Person-centered planning.
Reviews TTC paperwork and format of the ISP process. Instruction
on team members, responsibilities, ISP principles and relevant licensing
regulations.
Lifting
A review of proper body mechanics and lifting techniques with an
emphasis on preventing back injuries. Discussion on wheelchair safety
issues both in the home and in the vehicle.
